How to Change your Hearing Aid Batteries

When you are not using your hearing aid, turn it off to preserve battery power by opening the battery drawer. You will know it’s time to change your battery when you hear two consecutive beeps. If you hear four beeps, that is your final warning before the hearing aid turns off.

Note: if your battery has any sort of moisture on its surface, wipe it off before using it.

To change your hearing aid battery, you must first determine which type of hearing aid you are wearing:

  1.     Behind the Ear
  2.     In the Ear

Once a new or freshly charged rechargeable battery is placed in your hearing aid, it will start up with a ‘jingle’, and is ready for use.
